Oceania,with more than,33,552,994,inhabitants (0.6% of world's population) and,9,010,000 sq km (20,4% of world's land area) is both the smallest,and less populous continent of the world.

Oceania, located in the,southern hemisphere, and is composed by the continent of Australia and,the islands of the Pacific Ocean, allowing to divide the world,into continents.

Oceania's extent is often divided into three main regions: Micronesia, Melanesia and Polynesia; but the limits between each other is not allways clear.

The same happens with ,Easter Island (Rapa Nui), which is the eastern point of Oceania but belongs to,Chile; on the other hand, Island and the Cocos Islands are part of Asia , even being a part of, to the Commonwealth of Australia.
